Tea Party

During the week of February 22-26, students in Ms. Mandy's three year old class had a tea party to help reinforce the letter T.

We went on a Safari!!

Our two year old class found lots of "wild animals" on their safari in February.

Our three year olds and four year olds on a safari.

After the safari, our threes and fours had fun playing with silly string, which helped to reinforce the letter S.

Dental Hygiene

Ms. Mandy and Mrs. Michelle recently soaked hard-boiled eggs over night in pepsi to demonstrate the affects of not properly brushing your teeth. The eggs turned brown and with a little bit of brushing, they were pearly white again!

Ms. Mandy demonstrates the proper way to brush your teeth.

Sabrina and Lauren from Dr. Howell's office visited with our students on February 23rd in honor of Dental Month. Students had so much fun learning to brush away the "stinkbugs" and sugarbugs". Sabrina and Lauren told students to be sure to brush twice each day, only drink water at night, and gave students their very own toothbrush.

Students wearing their "tooth hats" while listening to Sabrina and Lauren talk about the importance of taking care of your teeth.

Mrs. Sue and Ms. Lynn's Beary Terrific Twos

Mrs. Sue Tillman and Ms. Lynn Cook are our two year old teachers and we have a total of 15 students in that class. During the week of March 1-5, we learned about the letter Uu. Coloring unicorns, umbrellas, a ukelele, utensils and the United States helped to reinforce the letter Uu sound. We made an umbrella craft with raindrops and clouds and our songs included "Do you know the Umbrella Man?" and "A Lovely Unicorn".

During the week of March 8-12, we are learning about the letter Vv, the number 15 and the square. We will continue to review our colors. The title of our unit is "We thank God for Plants". We will be coloring vests, violin, a volcano, vegetables, a van and a vulture to help reinforce the letter V sound. We will also make a vine craft and a VeggieTales Junior Asparagus craft. New songs for the week include "Do you know the Valley Man", "Little Seed" and "A Violet Violin"!

Mrs. Michelle and Ms. Mandy's Three Year Old Classes

This year, we have two three year old classes for a total of 24 students. They are being taught by Mrs. Michelle Mothershed and Ms. Mandy Henry. During the week of March 1-5, we learned about the letter Uu, the number 19 and continued to review our colors and shapes. We also celebrated Dr. Suess' birthday and read many of his fun stories.

During the week of March 8-12, we are learning about the letter Vv, the number 20 and continue reviewing our colors and shapes. The title of our unit is "We go to Church".

Mrs. Crystal's and Mrs. Julie's Fantastic Fours

Our four year old class is being taught by Crystal Carter and Mrs. Julie Davis. We currently have 12 students in that class. During the week of March 1-5, we learned about the letter Uu, continued to learn to skip count by 5 to 100 and our wall words were 'up' and 'for'. Some of the words that students came up with that begin with the letter Uu were under, up, umbrella, use and umpire. Students also had lots of dressing silly to honor Dr. Seuss' birthday. We read "The Cat in the Hat", "A Fish out of Water" and "Green Eggs and Ham"!

During the week of March 8-12, we are learning about the letter Vv and our word family for the week begins with the word 'am'. Help your child think of words that begin with the letter Vv and continue to practice skip counting by 2 and 5!
