Mrs. Sue and Ms. Lynn's Beary Terrific Twos

Mrs. Sue Tillman and Ms. Lynn Cook are our two year old teachers and we have a total of 14 students in that class. During the week of Feb. 1-5, we learned about the letter Qq, the number 12, the circle and reviewed our colors. The title of our unit was "farm Animals".

During the week of Feb. 8-12, we will be learning about the letter Rr, the number 13, the circle and continuing to review our colors. We will also continue our unit on Farm Animals. Students will be making a farm boy and coloring rabbits, robots, rainbows and roosters. We will count farm animals and our new song is "God in Heaven made a Farm".

Mrs. Michelle and Ms. Mandy's Three Year Old Classes

This year, we have two three year old classes for a total of 22 students. They are being taught by Mrs. Michelle Mothershed and Ms. Mandy Henry. During the week of Feb. 1-5, we learned about the letter Qq, the number 15 and reviewed our colors and shapes. The title of our unit was "Animals have Homes, too".

During the week of Feb. 8-12, we will be learning about the letter Rr, the number 16 and continuing to review our colors and shapes. The title of our unit is "I am Special". We will be talking about how God made each one of us special. We will discuss our similarities and our differences. Students will be having a Valentine's Party on Friday, Feb. 12th!

Mrs. Crystal's and Mrs. Julie's Fantastic Fours

Our four year old class is being taught by Crystal Carter and Mrs. Julie Davis. We currently have 12 students in that class. During the week of Feb. 1-5, we learned about the letter Qq and began our unit on rhyming words. Students learned that the letter u will always follow the letter Qq. Some of the words that we came up with that begin with the letter Qq were queen, quick, quit, and quiet. We also completed our unit on telling time. Encourage your child to practice telling the time using an analog clock at home. (1:00, 3:00, 2:30, 5:30, etc...).

During the week of Feb. 8-12, we will be learning about the letter Rr, continue to practice skip counting by 2 and our wall words are 'in' and 'out'. The title of our unit is "I am Special". Help your child think of words that begin with the letter Rr and encourage your child to practice writing his or first and last name often. Emphasize touching the lines correctly and using uppercase letters only at the beginning of the name. Please check the sign up sheet on our classroom door for Valentine's Party items that are needed!
